Fractional Rates strengthens students’
knowledge of unit rates and improves their
flexibility with writing and simplifying unit rates,
including those composed of fractions (7.RP.1).
Students write unit rates from a variety of
contexts and then connect equivalent ratios and
rates to writing and solving proportions (7.RP.2c).
